How to know when to get outside help with business strategy
From experience people often leave it quite late to seek outside help. We wanted to provide you with a summary of the key themes and patterns we have witnessed over the last 6 years at ABP.
Here are some of the red flags and patterns to watch out for from over 250 businesses that we have consulted with:
1. Financial Health
- Two consecutive quarters of static or reduced revenue growth
- A gap of 40% or more between projected revenue or profitability and achieved.
- When your “days of cash” dips below 3 months
- When your biggest client represents more than 20% of turnover









Apparently, there’s a debate going on as to whether Britain should stay in or exit the European Union. I have to say that this is news to me. A debate, from my point of view, would be welcome but, in the main, all I witness is Animal Farm-type slogans being written on the barn wall: “British legs good, European legs bad” or “Whatever goes upon European legs is a friend”. How is this supposed to help our country make such an important decision?
